Tim O’Neill is an independent network and communications technology consultant. Tim has spent 45+ years working in the RF, WAN, Analog, ISDN, ATM and LAN/Network analysis and monitoring market.
He has been an executive manager and a technology director resulting in many successful products and strategies for companies like Shell Research, Spectron, Navtel, Network General, Ganymede and ClearSight Networks. Tim is a patent holding, published and degreed engineer, who has seen the communications technology grow from Morse code, Radios and Teletype (current loop) to today’s 100+ Gigabit LAN’s focused on business applications with heavy compliance and security demands. Tim has seen the old dial-up WAN Bi-Sync days evolve to the modern Bit-oriented packet LAN arena of today.
Tim is a Senior member of the IEEE, InfraGard, and other Technology and Professional societies. Tim is an advisor and regular presenter at Kennesaw State University, The Center for Information Security Education. He is a Georgia POST (Police Officer Standards and Training) certified Instructor in Cyber Security and Data Forensics also a Georgia Bureau of Investigation Internet Safety instructor.
